Senior Occupational Therapist, Advanced Practitioner in Ayres Sensory Integration
Colette qualified in 2007 with a Bsc (hons) in Occupational Therapy from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. During the completion of her 4 year degree she completed a student exchange programme at Boston-Tufts University, School of Occupational Therapy. It was during her experience gained in the USA where she became interested in working directly with children with physical, sensory disabilities and developmental delay. As a result, Colette has been working in Paediatrics for the majority of her career. She has worked in Paediatrics in London for 5 years both in the National Health Service and in private practice.
Colette developed a keen interest in Sensory Integration, while working in London and she commenced her post graduate training in Ayres Sensory Integration Therapy with the University of Ulster. She has achieved the Advanced Practitioner level in the provision of Ayres Sensory Integration Therapy and she is very passionate about ASIT intervention. Colette is currently participating in additional Evidence Research based modules with the University of Ulster.
