Description This 12-week online coaching programme is aimed at teaching parents how to deliver an effective based on neuro-scientific research sensory integration therapy for their own child at home; How to optimally adjust the home environment. How to apply specific activities to stimulate their child’s healthy brain functions and enhance the brain neuroplasticity, leading to the optimal sensory integration outcomes. To teach effective purposely selected activities to increase the brain plasticity and stimulate the growth of neural networks. To understand what conditions are required for an activity to be a therapeutic sensory experience and how this activity impacts certain parts of brain All intervention techniques have been shown to be effective for teaching sensory integration in the home environment, very different from the ones prescribed by the community OTs.

Progress assessments take place every two weeks to check the degree of improvement in 2 weeks in many domains.

Coaching is for parents whose children as young as 2 years old and older have developmental concerns, ASD, Global Developmental Delays, Speech Delay and are on one of the Four Levels of Speech and Language Skills:

Level 1 – Pre-Verbal

Level 2 – First Words

Level 3 – Word Combinations

Level 4 – Sentences

Description The online coaching is for parents to teach them how to effectively deliver a behavioural social – communication therapy for their own child during home play and daily routines. It involves a blend of developmental and naturalistic behavioral intervention techniques to teach social-communication skills, based on the principles of ABA. All intervention techniques have been shown to be effective in teaching social-communication skills and have been identified as evidence-based by the National Professional Development Center for ASD. The skype coaching sessions are self-directed that build on each other. Each session contains a slideshow that introduces important concepts and presents video examples, and explanation of the techniques used in each video. This Coaching Programme is based on the autism research conducted by a few major American autism research centres of effective evidence-based parent-led autism interventions. Coaching is delivered by Gabriela Hennigan, founder at ITCA, a certified practitioner of Applied Behaviour Analysis since 2016, a certified practitioner of Neurodevelopmental Reflex Integration, Auditory Integration – Filtered Sound Training, Sensory Integration who is also an autism parent. Gabriela has teaching qualifications and experience since 1995, a MA degree in Marketing & Management and a BA degree in Business English. In 2015-2016, Gabriela worked as an executive assistant at Autism Research Institute in San Diego, California, USA, and in her experience at work with ASD children Gabriela has had great results in helping children improve behaviours, communication, social-emotional development and sensory processing.
